Gamtanju
The first Sool of Kegzei brewery answering to a single question:
What does Korea's summer wine taste like, a hundred years later?

Taste Profile
Top note
A soft veil of citrus - mandarin and yuzu, in the rutaceae family.
Middle note
The Muscat aroma of white wine, the ripe sweetness of green grapes.
Sub note
The fresh, grassy breeze you'd find by a riverbank.
Flavor Profile (Sweetness, Acidity, Body)

The Story
Gamtanju, Kegzei's first wine, builds on the original form of Gwahaju - Korea's 400-year-old summer Sool - and adds a balance the modern palate welcomes with ease. The rougher notes of traditional Gwahaju are gently refined, lifted by the lush fruit aroma and bright finish of Jeju Hallabong (Clementine) citrus.
Gwahaju was never just a drink. It was Korea's summer culture - a culture an entire era had forgotten.
Kegzei has begun the work of bringing it back to today's tables.

Organic Buyeo Rice (Baekokhyang variety)
