Korea's 400-Year Summer Sool,

Gwahaju

Rebrewed After a Century of Silence.

Gwahaju (과하주) is a Korean Sool documented in literature for over 400 years.

By adding distilled spirit to clear rice alcohol, it was crafted to withstand the heat of summer - a wisdom passed down through generations of Korean families.

Under Japanese colonial rule, liquor taxation laws and the suppression of home brewing culture broke this lineage. For nearly a century, Gwahaju survived only as a faint name - Korea's "lost summer sool."

Kegzei has brought this forgotten tradition back to life, brewed once again in Buyeo.
